Chris Fraser Absolute gentleman and good bloke. I remember working on the hill at the old SCG at a big cricket match with him one day. He was a Sgt 2/c. I was in my pro and don’t think I had made an arrest for anything other than Drunk at that stage. We spotted a bloke throw a can (steel ones in those days). Geoff lead the way and we grabbed him, took him to the back of the hill and Geoff gave him a lecture then let him go. I was crestfallen. In retrospect, it was a very good decision and possibly saved a young bloke from gaining a criminal record for a momentary lapse in judgement. It demonstrated what a caring and thoughtful bloke Geoff was.

On another occasion Geoff was working at the Hordern Pavilion for a Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs concert. There was a VIP room high up at the back, fully enclosed with a large, glass window looking over the venue. As Geoff entered, Thorpie hit a string that produced an unbelievably loud note that caused the glass to vibrate. Geoff was adamant that Thorpie had aimed it at him, but had a good laugh about it.
