Sgt Harold James Evans 'touch stone' at the Canberra Police Wall of Remembrance.

FRIDAY 11 JULY 2014

MY FIRST VISIT AND MARK ‘BUD’ HUNTER JOHN CALLANDER’s FIRST VISIT TO THE NATIONAL WALL OF POLICE REMEMBRANCE, TO VISIT THE NAME PLATES OF SO MANY OF THIS COUNTRY’S POLICE WHO HAVE DIED ‘ON DUTY’ OVER THE CENTURIES.

THERE ARE QUITE A LARGE NUMBER OF REMEMBRANCE PLATES AND I ONLY OBTAINED ALL OF THE NSW ONES WITH A FEW FROM OTHER STATES.

I KNOW SEVERAL OF THE PEOPLE WHO THESE PLATES REPRESENT FROM MY 29 YEARS OF POLICING.

MAY THEY FOREVER REST IN PEACE.
