He grew up in Seven Hills with brothers Paul, Danny, Terry, Anthony, and sister Ann. Harry was the eldest of 6 and went to Seven Hill’s Primary School and completed High School at Seven Hill High.

Harry left home at an early age and within a short time, took up a position within the NSW Police Department as a Public Servant at the age of 17. Harry also completed a Bachelor of Law Juris Doctor at Sydney University and passed the bar to become a Barrister.

Harry married Maree and soon after saw the birth of their only child Matthew in 1978, who survives Harry and cared for him for the later years of his life.
