 Funeral location:

Mick was seated at his desk on the lower floor of the old Fairfield Police Station ( when it was two buildings ).  The Detectives office being in the 3 floored building on the left – looking down the ( then ) driveway, from Smart St, which went between both buildings.

Whilst seated at his desk, he complained of a tooth ache when he came to work in the morning and was sitting at his desk and said he did not feel good and collapsed to the floor. His workmates were later told that he was gone before he hit the ground. He was survived by a wife and two young daughters.
